In the past few days our house looks a lot more like home. The painting is complete and the floors have been installed in the great room, kitchen and dining room. The stain will be applied tomorrow night, then two days of coatings will be applied.
My favorite room in the new house is the top of the turret, which will be my meditation room. To make it extra special, I’m installing 600 fiber optic lights that will be connected to a light wheel, creating a twinkly starry night effect. Creating this is one of the most difficult things I’ve ever tackled. It’s like working while being tangled in spaghetti. Imagine trying to put pieces of pie on the ceiling 10′ tall, while stepping on 600 pieces of tangled fiber optics. It’s crazy but I know it will be so worth it!
